Sunday Linky Party #14 + Goodies

Happy Mother's Day! What are your plans for your mothers today? Since I've moved back to California (I think it's been over a month now), I'm spending a lot more time with mom. Today, we're planning to go for a nice long walk/mild hike around a lake, and then grab lunch! Afterwards, I want to show her this face mask that I've been making, using rice bran and other natural ingredients, so we can pamper ourselves together :) I'll post a recipe for it on Wednesday! As for now, enjoy the lovely projects below and the rest of your Sunday!

Like scrapbooking and sewing? Here's a great project for you! From the Crafty Cpa, she'll show you how to incorporate your favorite scrapbook paper design onto a piece of fabric for your pillow cover. If you liked her embroidery art tutorials from the previous Sunday Linky Parties, you'll want to check out her new vintage camera embroidery as well!

Like the "happy birthday" banner? Here's another project involving scrapbook paper. The Silly Pearl teaches you how to make this cute garland and how to personalize it with real little sprigs of plants! She has another project that teaches you how to use your old crayons to make new, prettier-shaped ones.

If you haven't gotten anything for mom yet, here's a free poster you can download and print! That's when you run to Kinko's, get it printed, then run to another store to get it framed, then run home and surprise your mom :) Supplied by A Proffittable Life, where you can download this in other colors too.

Do you have a kid who lost a tooth and would like to replace it with a huggable one instead? Or maybe you have a dentist friend who likes to collect all things teeth-related? Meremade has a great tooth pillow tutorial for you. This is a pretty cute pillow, isn't it? And the tooth fairy will never take it away :)

If you have a bunch of zippers lying around that you don't know what to do with, you can make them into pretty flowers, like the ones on the hat above! You can also use them to make necklaces and to decorate other things as well. MeiJo's Joy gives you all her techniques and ideas.

This is a great idea! If you've ever really liked a piece of artwork, could only obtain a digital or printed copy of it, but wanted more texture to it than a flat piece of paper, this is the tutorial for you. From Gardeners to Bergers shows you how to make prints look like oil paintings. Genius! Check out her decorating ideas for a baby shower as well.

Do you really like key fobs and want one with your favorite colors and ribbons? Stitch 2 Buttercups shows you how with a very thorough tutorial. I've always wondered how one would make these, and now I know! :)

I love growing herbs and these pots are such a good idea! I didn't know chalk paint comes in spray form, but they do. Thanks to Ohh Baby! for this tutorial. These would make really cute gifts or favors for a party.

Okay, this isn't exactly a recipe for strawberry jam. It's really more like a collection of sources that Running with Glitter has put together, from the process of finding a recipe, to the packaging, to getting free downloadable images (like the cute deer one she has on that jar), to making them into labels. It's a very complete documented process for everything you'll need to get from step 1 to the finished product!

Who likes brownie cookies with spiced ganache filling? -raises hand- Ha! Well, The Baking Sake has a pretty simple recipe and these cookies look so delicious! Looks like I'll get my chocolate fix from this one :)

Fried eggplants are delicious. My mom used to make some and I'd always eat the most. Life in the Thrifty Lane has an easy recipe that'll get you eating these in no time.

Here's something you don't see too often. A recipe for monkey bread! I've actually never had this before so I'll have to give it a try. Check it out at The Elephant's Trunk!

Lastly, I love this tablesetting! It's so unique! Maybe your mother will like it too, but if she doesn't, Tablescape Times Three has other great table-setting ideas as well :)
