Sunday Linky Party #42 + Goodies

It's crab season so we had two big dungeness crabs for dinner last night, and they were deeeelicious! :) All we did was steam them and make dipping sauce... so simple and satisfying... and much cheaper than eating them at a restaurant. There are more Christmas projects this week, and there's still plenty of time to make a few, unless you're behind on your gift shopping (which I am!) So let's get on with this week's features!

Make these cool apothecary jars and delight those candy-loving kids! Of course you don't have to put candy in them. All you need to make these are simple items found in most stores. Check it out at The Turquoise Piano.

Make sophisticated holiday faux zinc letters to decorate your home. From Gardners to Bergers shares two techniques for creating metallic shine on simple cardboard letters you can buy from Michael's. Take your pick!

Got an old cabinet door you don't know what to do with? How about making a breakfast tray (or a tray for cookies and milk ;)? Check out this great tutorial from Pondered Primed Perfected.

Feet tired from Black Friday and holiday shopping? Make some exfoliating foot soap with Soap Deli News. To save you some research time, RBD and virgin coconut oil both melt at 76° (which is one of the ingredients of the recipe). These would make great presents too :)

If your phone needs protection and also needs to look cute, you can follow Twigg Studios' gadget case tutorial. It also helps if you have a sewing machine :) These would make great stocking stuffers!

How adorable are these ornaments? They're cupcakes! And so easy to make! You'll definitely have the most original ornaments out of your friends. Learn how at Artsy VaVa.

Head over to Making Memories for a collection of Christmas printable frame art, subway art, gift tags, notes, wrappers, and labels. I'm sure you'll find something useful for your home and/or gifts! Also check out It's a Crafty Life for more printable art!

For dessert tonight, how about some devil's food and peppermint ice cream sandwiches? I'm sure kids and adults alike would enjoy this treat. I know I would! Head over to Pressed Down Shaken Together.

Skip the restaurant and make your own healthier apple parfait with The Seven Years Cottage. You can even substitute the vanilla yogurt for greek yogurt or any other flavor. Give it a try!

Rolls are a dinner staple and potato rolls are even better. It's a little late to make them for Thanksgiving, but there are lots more dinner opportunities coming up. Find the recipe at The Elephant's Trunk.
