Sunday Linky Party #50 + Goodies

It'll be Valentine's Day in two days so here are some crafts and recipes to get you prepared for a very personal and handmade day! Yes, take back the spirit of the holiday from the big commercial companies by making everything yourself :) Well, what do you think? Once again, I had a hard time choosing which projects and recipes to feature this week... there is so much talent! Have a wonderful Sunday.

The above two pictures are for two projects that would work great together. The first one is from The Painted Hive, which includes a very useful magic decal transfer tutorial and free printables, great for adding poshness to your jars and other glassware. The second is from Making Memories, which finds great uses for easier-to-get jars, in case you want to utilize items you might normally throw in the recycling bin, and it also comes with a link to free printables! :)

More free printables here:

How cute are these soft fabric bracelets? Inspired by bracelets from a favorite Etsy shop, Green Eggs and Ham decided to make her own version using fabrics of her choice. I can totally imagine these as the new, cooler friendship bracelets!

Want to make the easiest ruffle scarf ever without using a sewing machine or much time at all? Then you'll want to see Organized Living Solutions' blog post about it. Seeing how happy she looks with her scarf on, it seems to be a big success!

Did you know that San Francisco has banned the use of plastic bags from all retail stores, meaning not just grocery stores, but retail stores, restaurants, and everywhere else as well? Even if you don't live there, it's always good to be mindful of the environment and that's why you'll want to bring your own tote bag, like the awesome reversible tote bags above! Yes, reversible, meaning you don't have to choose just one of your favorite fabric patterns when you can use two! Check out the great tutorial from Happy in Red, which is in two languages (English is in italics).

This "Free as a Bird" 3D art is just lovely. I love how they're flying in a circle and that their wings fold out. You can find out what Twigg Studios used to get her bird silhouette or find your own favorite shape punch and get creative with your own art!

What's so special about these cute heart pants? Well, they're insulated and waterproof! Knowing how to make your own snow pants can be a big money saver, considering how expensive they are, and especially if you have kids. Sew Can Do has got the solution for you, including what type of pattern to choose, which I think is really helpful even if you don't plan on making children's pants!

There are a lot of great coaster tutorials out there, some of which I've featured before, but I think this one is especially well-written and thorough, so if you're looking to make your own personalized coasters as gifts, using favorite scrap papers, photos, greeting cards, etc, check out this tutorial from Vintage Mauve!

Here's a sweet double recipe, strawberry cheesecake with graham cracker topper! I love the little heart cutout for the handle of the spoon to go through. These are just adorable :) Get the recipe at Lady Behind the Curtain. Try her classic chocolate whoopie pies too. You can probably use those for toppers too.

I hope you all have waffle machines because chocolate waffles for breakfast would be awesome! But Adventures in Dinner says you can use this to make chocolate pancakes too, so I guess you don't need a waffle machine after all.

Here's a cute cherry and cream cheese heart pastry, great for dessert or breakfast. Make someone (or yourself) happy, or bring it to work and share :) Check it out at Inspired by Family Magazine.

Now for a non-sweet, pecan crusted, bleu cheese and bacon stuffed chicken breasts. Dinner will be easy with this recipe from Mom On Timeout. Chicken breast can be hard to make because it gets dry easily, but it looks like it won't be a problem with this dish :)
