Sunday Linky Party #78 + Goodies

Hi all! Today is my husband's birthday and we're going to eat at our favorite buffet! Great excuse to pig out, isn't it? Of course, it helps that the birthday person gets to eat free :) Anyway, on to this week's features!

These look like soaps, but they're actually organic lemon lavender scented bath melts, which means they're made of lots of moisturizing good stuff for you to take a relaxing, fragrant bath. And for the mold? All you need is an ice tray! Make this luxurious bath melt for yourself or to give away as gifts, from Soap Deli News. For more projects, try her organic bath tea/salt soak, lavender sachets, and chalk board game table.

Keep those old glass jars, whether they're baby food jars (which are very cute) or some other nicely shaped ones and decorate them for other uses! Twigg Studios has a great tutorial, I love how beautiful her recycled baby food jars came out. Check out her other tutorials, too: tinted glass jars and diy fabric hangers.

I think the picture explains it all. These monogram pincushions are easy enough that you can make a bunch of them and use them as name cards at a dinner party or to give away in gift bags. And they're really cute! Check it out at Lou Loves This.

This isn't a tutorial, but it's a genius idea! If you sell earrings, are planning to give some to friends, or just want to keep the pairs together in a drawer, "package" them together using buttons! I have so may pairs of earrings just scattered around, and I have a bunch of mismatched buttons, so I will definitely put this trick to use. Find it at Jewelry Making Journal.

Got a nice mirror that's losing its reflection for some reason or other? Make it into a chalkboard, and if it's light enough, a magnet as well! Head to Alderberry Hill for the tutorial!

Fall's coming so it's the perfect time to can all those extra fruits and make them last through the winter! If you like peaches, go to Sweet Boutique to get her peach preserves recipe and hand these cute little jars of summer to your friends and neighbors!

Surprise your family tonight with these chicken bombs from Dishing with Leslie! Inside this juicy chicken breast wrapped in bacon is somewhat of a jalapeno popper! Pretty cool, huh? Try this and  her cornbread salad, too.

Perfect for fall, get into the warm and cozy mood with this scrumptious chocolate pumpkin tres leches cake from The Kurtz Corner. Just looking at its gooeyness makes me excited for Thanksgiving.

Make this pretty strawberry cream cheese flan for dessert or a bbq while strawberries are still easy to find in grocery stores. Get this recipe at With a Blast and try these others: banana caramel tart, bobotiecoffee cream (cake?), and tropical cooler.

If you're craving a chocolatey, fluffy dessert, try this dark chocolate, banana, and peanut butter cream pie from Mommy Minded. I mean, what can go better together than these three flavors?
