Sunday Linky Part #86 + Goodies

Happy Sunday everyone! Looking forward to the next holiday yet? I am, and I really hope we find a new home by Thanksgiving (because that would be awesome). Here are some great tutorials and recipes for the season (plus lots of yummy cake recipes!) I'd love to try them all, and I suppose I can handle a little extra sugar for the holiday season... :) yep!

This is what I call a two-for. Here's a tutorial for how to make the cutest gingerbread cookie decor ever and a recipe (so you don't have to go looking for one to decorate :) Check this out at Twigg Studios, and get her other tutorials: feather baubles, stamping with feathers, paper leaves, and metal bucket advent calendar.

Here's a great way to personalize your wrapping paper (instead of using stars, you can use anything else you like!) Try this gift paper from wax paper tutorial from With A Blast!

Here's a cute tutorial that everyone will enjoy (or, probably most little girls and even some young women :) Make a set of adorable bow clips, from Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom!

These stamped tile coasters would make the most amazing present for someone who loves rustic decor! Get this great tutorial from Crafty Journal.

Here's a pretty interesting recipe for a diy shimmery face powder. It's very inexpensive and uses commonly found home products, so it might be worth a try! Get this at Domesticity and Doctrine.

Make this deliciously rich beetroot chocolate cake (that doesn't taste like beet at all and has a gorgeous deep red tinge) from Organized Living Solutions! Mmm... looking at this makes my mouth water.

Another deliciously dense cake, different flavor though. For something fresh, try this lemon and thyme cake from Jane's Adventures in Dinner!

Here's another cake: a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting recipe from One Step Woman's grandmother. If it's her grandmother's recipe, I'd like to try it!

Snickerdoodles are one of the most delicious cookies, so a snickerdoodle cheesecake must be a delicious cheesecake! You'll need to make some cookies first, but try this recipe from The Swheat Life (in fact, she has both recipes!)

Looks like we're on a cake-roll! (haha :) For a different type of cake (one that's best eaten frozen), serve this pumpkin cake roll in addition to the traditional pumpkin pie! Try this recipe from Lady Behind the Curtain and try this leftover Halloween candy blondies.

Now for something not a cake! Jalapeno bites! They're baked, cheesy, and easy to make. I'd make these appetizers just for myself :) Get the recipe at Dishing With Leslie. Pair with her ground turkey and steak chili.
