Meet Falcor!

So, I adopted a doggie this past Saturday! He's a dachshund/poodle mix (or so he seems) and he was possibly a stray before the Last Hope Cat Sanctuary took him in. The volunteer who helped me adopt him, plus a few others I spoke to, didn't know how they got him or much about him at all, which is too bad because he's been living at the Sanctuary for 7 months and it would have been nice to learn more. How is this possible? Because apparently there are ~200 cats and ~70 dogs at this sanctuary and they were just running around outside in a huge field. Falcor didn't even know his own (previous) name and when I tried to call him over, a bunch of other dogs plus a cat came running instead while he just sat there.

Anyway, he is incredibly mellow so we paid the adoption fee, picked him up, and took him immediately to the nearest Petco for a flea bath.

How Pets See the World

I have been wanting to get a dog for the longest time, but it was never the right time or situation, until... soon :) I'm very excited to say that, in the next several months or so, I will be able to have the location and right situation to finally provide a dog of my own with a nice home! More on that later. I've also been searching Petfinder.com and have a few favorites, although they may not be around for adoption by the time I'm able to commit. Oh well. Cute Bento Box Lunches

Alright, I've been eating a lot of Japanese food for lunch because there's a Japanese supermarket near my work that sells packaged lunches for a very reasonable price range. Unfortunately, they do not sell super cute bento boxes like the ones I'm going to show you. One day, I'd like to make a couple of these for my future kids and be the coolest mom ever, but for now, let's just gush over how cute and fun they look! :)

Fun December Nights

My neighbor went on vacation for about two weeks and needed us to take care of his two cats, Dolce and Bixby. Of course we said yes because, come on, we get to play with his cats everyday. Sounds great to me! We went to his apartment to feed the cats and only Dolce came to greet us. I didn't think much of it because Bixby's the shy one, so I went about opening a couple cans of cat food. After putting the food down and petting Dolce, who's a fat friendly purring fluff ball, Hubby asked, "How come there's only one cat?"


Dolce. I call her Fatty Cat. I think she has some dust on her from rolling around on the rug.
